Here’s a very summery ‘at home’ session with a lovely family in Stoke Newington.
All of my commissioned family sessions these days are based in the home, as it’s where families are most comfortable, and where I find the best portraits can be taken. I love this creative family’s home, and the pictures tell a good story of a fun morning that we spent on a sunny Sunday in July.
If you would like to record your favourite family weekend pastimes and capture how you are when you are just relaxing at home, then this type of session is best suited to you. It’s my favourite way of working because everyone feels really comfortable barefoot in their own home, and the photographs are so much more natural than ones taken during a ‘set up’ shoot.
Children always enjoy having their photograph taken when lots of playing and games are involved, and being at home with their own toys means they will be truly happy..meaning we’ll capture lots of genuine smiles and a wide range of expressions and gestures that are particular to them when they are engrossed. We also were lucky enough with the weather to get the paddling pool out, and Mum and Dad had a lolly too, while cooling their feet off in the water.
