Newborn baby portrait photographer, London
This summer has been so busy it’s crazy! July and August has been filled with weddings and Christenings that I have yet to blog….and then today I got to photograph one beautiful baby boy and his gorgeous and amazing Mummy. The pace of life really slows down when you are around tiny babies; it has to! It reminded me how much I love photographing children and families and why I started to become a photographer in the first place. There’s something really special about capturing the bond between a mother and her newborn baby, precious moments that pass so quickly. Now that my own children are much older (the youngest is now 8) I can see how special these fleeting moments are. I think that the art of the family photographer is to record the little things; moments that might go unnoticed or details that don’t stay for long, like the creases on the sole of a baby’s foot, and make them timeless.
Beautiful Mum Rosalie, who I named one of my daughters after, and 5 week old Dexter were so chilled out that they were a joy to photograph. In between his all important feeds we were able to get some sleepy shots as well as some more wide awake, interactive moments.
