Here are some black and white portraits from a recent session at home in London.
I love photographing children at this stage…they are so full of character and a pleasure to capture. In between our chats, we were able to capture some lovely moments …all of which were not set up or posed. When you allow time to let things develop naturally at the child’s pace, the best, relaxed portraits always happen….that’s my top tip when photographing your own child, whether at home or out and about, or even on holiday.
I have always adored Judith Kerr’s ‘Mog’ books, so when I found out that this is still a firm favourite I was delighted. Gardening was also on the agenda, which gave us an opportunity to go outside into the garden. My photography portrait sessions are child led and so we’ll end up doing whatever your child enjoys doing in your session.
