The name Cocoa Jones comes from a character in a book I loved as a child called ‘My naughty little sister’.
Along with a passion for photography, both digital and analogue film, I can be found gardening on my allotment with my lurcher, Maggie. I love Wales and Italy, and lots of the photos on my journal page were taken there. I love the film Boyhood, because it gives you a real sense of time passing and how that feels, and it reminds me of revisiting the same families to take photos every few years as they grow up.
I’m also a qualified art teacher and before becoming a photographer, I used to teach in secondary schools.
Having been a family photographer in London for over 10 years, my style has remained consistent, classic and timeless. My portrait sessions come from my love of narrative story-telling and memory collecting.
Families come to me who want something original; photographs that make a beautiful and historically valuable addition to your family’s collection of images. I also document a select number of baptisms and weddings every year.
If you have any questions….ask away! I would love to hear from you.
