I have been getting so many lovely private commissions this year…all of my clients have such beautiful families, I am blown away with how lucky I am that I get to take their portraits. Portrait sessions are fairly quick…I am out after 2 hours, so I have to use that time to get to know everyone quickly so that I can gain their trust to take portraits that are going to be meaningful for the family. We all have so many expressions that we use everyday…but we often feel we need to present only one set expression for the camera. We all have a camera ready smile that we use when we see a lens in our direction, so its important for me to get past that, and seek out genuine expressions of a variety of emotions. I think you can tell in the eyes when someone is genuinely laughing and happy. This family was so fun to be around…there are loads of smiles going on…and all of them were the twinkly eye kind of smiles!
In fact, I bet you are smiling too when you look at this delightful lot…its infectious!
