Family portrait photography session, in Winchester, Hampshire
I was very pleased to be commissioned to photograph this lovely family at their home in Winchester, which is a beautiful part of South West England.
When I arrived at their home, Mum Alenka explained that her two year old daughter, Sophia, really disliked having her photograph taken. We decided to take the girls out to a local park, and I used my usual unobtrusive method to photograph the children as they ran around and played together. Although my legs did ache for some days afterwards, I did manage to keep up with the girls’ lightening speed, and I captured loads of great action shots and candids. Little Sophia really got into the swing of things, and even suggested changing into one of the tutu’s I had brought with me!
Later on, we used the beautiful summer light to take more naturally lit photographs back at their home. I love the sequence of the girls playing in the garden, running around so freely without a care in the world, sharing sweets and bouncing on the trampoline. They really remind me of my own childhood, and the many hours I spent playing with my little sister.
The whole portrait session took about two hours. If you are interested in having a family portrait photography session in your home, or out on location too, contact me to book a date.
