I was delighted to be invited back to photograph this family with their latest addition at their London home. This is the fourth baby that I have photographed for the family, and it’s been such a privilege to have been there to meet all their babies within the first few days of being born.
My photographic style is both natural and unposed…with plenty of detail shots as well as portraits of all the family with the new baby. Knowing how to photograph newborn babies has taken me a long time to learn, and I use the many years of experience that I bring with me to each new shoot to inform the way I work, rather than any set formula. My aim is to be as quick as possible, including as many feeding breaks as necessary, and to make the session feel both relaxing and fun for everybody.
