Family portraits at home with a little one
Hello! It’s been a long time since I have had a chance to post recent work, as I’ve been really busy with shoots, and I also don’t like touching my website as doing that often seems to break it! For more regular updates from my world, follow along on my new IG account @theacourtney.
Here’s some favourites from a recent family session at home with a little one. I love photographing families at home, and I find that they feel the most comfortable and chilled out in their home, especially when their children are under two years old.
I don’t feel the need to pose people…if i did it would make them feel rather uncomfortable I’m sure! Instead I just let them be themselves…and the rest follows on naturally. Photo sessions at home are child centered and child led, whatever their age ( this includes newborn babies) and we often have to slow down to the child’s natural pace and rhythms instead of imposing what we think we want or need on them.
